Ifeniyi foundation pledges educational support for Kwara orphanage home
Founder, Ifeniyi foundation, Engineer Ifeniyi Ogungbemi Tuesday pledged to render educational supports to orphans under the care of City of Refuge Orphanage home in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.
This is just as the orphanage said it is commiting over N2million annually to fund the education of orphans under it care who are spread across primary, post primaries and higher institutions of learning including universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
The orphanage said it has over 60 orphans from across the 16 local government areas of Kwara state under it care.
Addressing the children during a visit of coordinators of Ifeniyi foundation to the orphanage in Ilorin, Engineer Ogungbemi assured the orphanage that his foundation would provide the required educational supports within the limit of its resources to encourage the children to become attain lofty heights in life.
“Your orphanage home is one of our targeted audience that we want to support”, he said
While urging the children to take their education seriously, Ogungbemi added that his foundation would “encourage outstanding performance” as education is key to their success in life.
Ogungbemi who spoke to the children via a telephone call from abroad, said the cash donation presented to the orphanage for the care of the children was just his token as a show of love to them.
He said the requests of the orphanage would be considered in due course.
Earlier, Mrs, Bola Bamidele who spoke on behalf of other coordinators from the Ifeniyi foundation, said the main focus of the founder is to empower the less privileged and support their educational development and growth.
“We are here to show our support and care for the wonderful work that you do. We believe in empowering others, and your dedication to providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children is truly inspiring.
